Pedestrian signal at King at Beverley now active
December 5, 2018 -
The City of Kingston has activated the intersection pedestrian signal at King Street at Beverley and will be removing the temporary fencing at this location.
"This new intersection pedestrian signal helps increase the safety of those travelling to and from popular Breakwater Park. It is expected to be especially well used in warmer weather," says Ian Semple, director of transportation services.
The intersection pedestrian signal looks like a typical traffic signal with red, amber and green lights. When a pedestrian presses the button to cross, vehicles will be faced with a red light and will be required to stop.
