Planning committee - Courtesy public notice - July 7, 2016

June 28, 2016 -

Thursday, July 7 at 6:30 p.m. Council Chambers, City Hall, 216 Ontario St.

The City of Kingston planning committee will meet to discuss the matters listed below beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Public meeting

85 King St. East – Stephen Sorensen – D14-021-2016

Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to permit alterations to a dwelling and carriage house, which will include moving one of three existing dwelling units from the main house to the carriage house, and constructing a garage to link the two structures. There will be no increase to the total number of units on the existing property. The applicant also proposes to sever the carriage house from the rest of the property, and an application for consent has been submitted. The Zoning Bylaw amendment application is being filed to recognize modifications to zoning provisions needed for the proposed severed and retained parcels.

2165 Bath Rd. – Cupido Construction - D14-023-2016

Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to allow the building to be converted into a veterinary clinic. No new additions or enlargement of the building is proposed.

103 Richardson Dr. – FoTenn Consultants Inc. – D14-019-2016

Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to legalize an existing second unit. To accommodate the proposal, the applicant requests relief from the Zoning Bylaw to permit front-yard parking in a tandem or stacked formation to permit habitable space in the cellar and to reduce a side-yard setback requirement to address the existing accessory building which nearly abuts the south-lot line (interior side yard).  No new additions or enlargement of existing dwelling is proposed.
