The City of Kingston planning committee will meet to discuss the matters listed below beginning at 6:30 p.m.
1575 Westbrook Rd. – Walter Holsgrove/Martin Burger (Groundwork Engineering Limited) – D14-004-2016
Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to expand the permitted uses to include a firewood processing yard, contractors yard, business office, transport and cartage yard, soil processing facility, service garage and public use.
1572 Sunnyside Rd. – Cataraqui Region Conservation Area/McIntosh Perry Consulting – D35-001-2016
Applications for Official Plan amendment and Zoning Bylaw amendment to facilitate a proposed severance of approximately 2.82 hectares of land. The subject site has frontage on Sunnyside Road and contains an existing dwelling and barn.
Zoning Bylaw amendment: casino gaming facility – City of Kingston - D14-008-2016
The City is proposing an amendment to all five main zoning bylaws to include a definition of "casino gaming facility", which will make the use distinctive from all other types of entertainment, recreational and/or commercial uses. A casino gaming facility will not be listed as a permitted use in any of the zones in any of the bylaws; therefore, if someone wishes to propose a casino gaming facility, they will be required to submit an application for a Zoning Bylaw amendment.

169 Union St. – 1652748 Ontario Inc. /FoTenn Consultants – D14-145-2015
Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to change the zone from the existing One and Two Family Dwelling ‘A' zone to a site-specific Neighbourhood Commercial ‘C1.493' zone, for the purpose of permitting a professional dental office on the ground floor and a residential use within the upper floors of the existing building.
462 Barrie St. – Anne-Marie Lee – D14-074-2015
Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to permit a third residential dwelling unit within the existing two-unit semi-detached dwelling by reconfiguring the interior to establish three self-contained one-bedroom residential dwelling units. There are no additions or other exterior changes proposed to the existing building.
2939 Creekford Rd. – Braebury Homes – D14-073-2014 & D12-019-2014
Applications for Zoning Bylaw amendment and draft plan of subdivision to develop a residential subdivision consisting of 93 lots, five future development blocks, a park block, an open space block, a walkway block and three new roads.
23 Soccer Lane – ABNA Investments Limited/DREAM – D09-008-2013 & D14-045-2013
Applications for Official Plan amendment and Zoning Bylaw amendment to permit a commercial development with approximately 18,000 square metres (194,000 square feet) of commercial space, consisting of a large format retail outlet and five smaller commercial buildings.
Pending and committed residential development update
The purpose of this report is to provide information on the number of potential residential dwelling units in the City's residential development inventory that are located within the urban boundary. This report also provides information on residential building-permit activity that has occurred from 2006 to the end of 2015.
Information regarding the above can be viewed at planning, building and licensing services, 1211 John Counter Blvd., during normal office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
