The public is invited to a Special Council meeting to consider placing  the following referendum question on the October 27, 2014 municipal election ballot:

Are you in favour of a casino being located in the City of Kingston, excluding the Central Business District (Downtown)?  Yes. No.

The Special Council meeting is set for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29 in Council Chamber at City Hall, 216 Ontario St.  The Municipal Elections Act requires that such a public meeting be held to consider placing the referendum question on the ballot.

Those wishing to address Council must register at the welcome table prior to the start of the meeting. Speakers will be chosen in random order. Each speaker will be allowed a maximum of five minutes to address Council and will be asked to remain at the podium to answer questions from Council.

Written submissions can be submitted to the John Bolognone, City Clerk, City of Kingston, 216 Ontario St., Kingston Ontario, K7L 2Z3, or to until Tuesday, April 29, 2014, 2 p.m.
