Public notice of the City of Kingston's council meeting schedule for the 2016 operating and capital budget deliberations, for The Corporation of the City of Kingston, including the municipally owned utilities.

Notice is hereby given that the council of The Corporation of the City of Kingston will begin its operating and capital budget discussions on Nov. 23, 2015. At these meetings the council will  also consider to the following bylaws: Bylaw Number 2010-17, A Bylaw to Impose Gas Rates as amended by Bylaw Number 2013-18 and Bylaw Number 2015 -28; Bylaw Number 2011-24, A Bylaw to Impose Water & Wastewater Rates; and Bylaw Number 2012-22, A Bylaw to Impose Miscellaneous Charges and Appliance Rental Rates, as amended by Bylaw Number 2015-29, to reflect the council-approved rates for 2016, and bylaws to adopt the operating and capital budgets.

The proposed 2016 budget review meeting schedule is listed below. The meetings will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 216 Ontario St.:

Monday, Nov. 23 Committee of the whole budget review meeting

Tuesday, Nov. 24 Committee of the whole budget review meeting

Wednesday, Nov. 25 Committee of the whole budget review meeting (if required)

City council proposes to adopt the 2016 municipal operating and capital budget at its meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Dec.15.
