NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston will be commencing a series of Special Council meetings in a Town Hall Format, to better understand the positions of all residents throughout the community. At these meetings City Council will provide an opportunity to hear from residents who wish to voice their concerns on all matters of the municipality.

At the Special Council meetings the Mayor will provide opening remarks, which will provide an overview of the format for the night's meeting. Those wishing to address Council are asked to register at the welcome table prior to the start of the meeting. Speakers will be chosen in random order for the public portion of the meeting. Each speaker will be allowed a maximum of three minutes to address Council.

The proposed Special Council meeting schedule is listed below. The meetings will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held at various locations throughout the City.

  • Wednesday, Feb. 19, in Reddendale Hall, Centre 70 Arena, 100 Days Rd.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the Cafeteria, LaSalle Secondary School, 773 Kingston Highway 15
  • Monday, Mar. 3, in the Main Hall, Rideau Acres Campground, 1014 Cunningham Rd.
  • Monday, Mar. 17, in Memorial Hall, City Hall, 216 Ontario St.
