Public Notice - 2018 operating and capital budget deliberations

Public Notice of the City of Kingston's council meeting schedule for the 2018 operating and capital budget deliberations, for The Corporation of the City of Kingston, including the municipally owned utilities.

Notice is hereby given that the council of The Corporation of the City of Kingston will be commencing its operating and capital budget discussions on November 28, 2017. At these meetings the council of The Corporation of the City of Kingston will also give consideration to the following bylaws: Bylaw Number 2010-17, A Bylaw to Impose Gas Rates, as amended; and Bylaw Number 2012-22, A Bylaw to Impose Miscellaneous Charges and Appliance Rental Rates, as amended, to reflect the council approved rates for 2018, and bylaws to adopt the operating and capital budgets.

The proposed 2018 Budget Review meeting schedule is listed below. The meetings will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 216 Ontario St.:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017– Committee of the Whole Budget Review Meeting
  • Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 – Committee of the Whole Budget Review Meeting
  • Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 – Committee of the Whole Budget Review Meeting (if required)

City council proposes to adopt the 2018 Municipal Operating and Capital Budget at its meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Dec.19, 2017.
