The City of Kingston will apply pesticide to control noxious weeds along roadsides and manage vegetation at guiderail locations. 

Application will take place Sept. 5 to 16 (weather-permitting), along selected roadsides in the Pittsburgh and Countryside districts, from Highway 15 east to the city boundary, and from the Howe Island Ferry Launch north to Sand Hill Road.

The pesticide to be used for roadside noxious weed control is a combination of – Dupont Navius VM Herbicide (metsulfuron-methyl/aminocyclopyrachlor reg. 31382) and Garlon RTU (triclopyr reg. 29334) under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada).

The pesticide to be used for guiderail vegetation management is a combination of Roundup Weather Max Herbicide (glyphosate reg. 27487), Truvist Herbicide (chlorsulfuron/ aminocyclopyrachlor reg. 30920) and Esplanade SC (indaziflam reg. 31333) under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada).
