The City of Kingston planning committee will meet to discuss the matters listed below beginning at 6:30 p.m.

575 Princess St. – Podium Development – D35-005-2016

An Official Plan amendment and Zoning Bylaw amendment to permit an 11-storey mixed commercial and residential building (456 units) in addition to two existing residential buildings (15 dwelling units each) on lands north of Princess Street (575-611 Princess St., 505-513 Albert St., 510 Frontenac St.) and to permit a surface parking lot on lands south of Princess Street (576-600 Princess St. and 465 Albert St.)

Commercial Land Review – City of Kingston – D09-002-2016

City-initiated Official Plan amendment to implement the recommendations of the Commercial Land Review Final Report dated March 2016.

1024 Cataraqui Woods Dr. – Braebury Homes – D14-031-2016

A Zoning Bylaw amendment to permit a five-unit row house in a new residential subdivision.

256 Elmwood St.– Jason Eade – D14-054-2013

Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to recognize the existing three dwelling units within the existing structure. No additions or external changes are proposed as part of the rezoning application.

99 Chatham St. – Mason Laframbois – D14-026-2016

This application proposes a Zoning Bylaw amendment to add a secondary suite in the existing single-family dwelling, rebuild the existing rear addition and add a small porch at the back. This application is being brought forward as a public meeting and comprehensive report recommending approval to the planning committee for the subject site located at 99 Chatham St.

Pending and committed information report

A semi-annual report has been prepared documenting the supply of housing that has received approval and that for which approval is pending. The report demonstrates that the forecasted supply of housing in the city is consistent with provincial policy.

Smart Growth for our Communities Act, 2015: amendments to the Planning Act – City of Kingston

This information report summarizes key changes to the Planning Act stemming from the Smart Growth for Our Communities Act, 2015 (also known as Bill 73) and provides comments as to how changes have been or are proposed to be implemented in the City.

New City-wide Zoning Bylaw – Zoning 101 Information Session

This information report offers details on upcoming public information sessions aimed at promoting engagement in the new City-wide Zoning Bylaw project. The sessions will provide background on zoning bylaws and the format and structure of bylaws and address participant questions. Staff will brief planning committee on the Zoning 101 information session.
