The City of Kingston planning committee will meet to discuss the matters listed below beginning at 6:30 p.m.
1201 McAdoos Lane – Martian Properties Inc. – D35-007-2017
Applications for Official Plan amendment and Zoning Bylaw amendment to permit rural industrial uses and prohibit residential uses on the site to allow for the development of a logistics terminal. The Official Plan amendment application is also required to facilitate a consent application to permit an engineered drinking-water system to service the proposed use.
2666 Princess St. & 1027 Midland Ave. – All Seniors Care Living Centres – D14-037-2017
Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to permit a senior-supportive living facility ranging in height between three and six storeys and comprised of 170 independent-living units and assisted-care units. A total of 91 parking spaces are proposed, including 16 for staff of the senior's facility and six barrier-free spaces. The applicant requests relief from the following zoning provisions to accommodate the proposed development: permitted uses; maximum building height; maximum residential density; maximum accessory building height; yards where parking is permitted; maximum parking stall size; and minimum drive aisle width.

Special events at municipally owned facilities – City of Kingston – D14-028-2017
Application for a City initiated Zoning Bylaw amendment for five municipally-owned properties. The Zoning Bylaw amendment is to permit trade shows and specific day retail sales as an accessory use at the INVISTA Centre (1350 Gardiners Rd.), Centre 70 Arena (100 Days Rd.), Cataraqui Community Centre (1030 Sunnyside Rd.), and Kingston Memorial Centre (303 York St.), and to permit trade shows, exhibition events and ancillary sales as an accessory use at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour (53 Yonge St.).
