The City of Kingston planning committee will meet to discuss the matters listed below beginning at 6:30 p.m.
797 King St. West – IBI Group – D14-021-2018
Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to permit the construction of a 12-unit, 3.5-storey stacked townhome development on the subject property, which will contain 10 three-bedroom units and two two-bedroom units. The subject property currently contains three single-detached dwellings which will be demolished to accommodate the proposed residential development. A parking area with 11 vehicular parking spaces and 12 bicycle parking spaces is proposed in the north interior side yard.
City-Wide – The Corporation of the City of Kingston - D35-003-2018
Applications for Official Plan amendment and Zoning Bylaw amendment to implement provincial legislation and policies by broadening second-residential-unit permissions both within single-detached, semi-detached, linked or row house dwellings and in accessory structures across the City, and including appropriate zone provisions and Official Plan policies to regulate their development and address servicing constraints. The amendments will also remove restrictions in Zoning Bylaw 8499 regarding the use of a cellar as a dwelling or habitation unit. Policies are also being introduced to require new residential units subject to Planning Act applications in specific areas of potential or known servicing constraints to demonstrate adequate servicing capacity and that public health and safety will be protected.
