The City of Kingston planning committee will meet to discuss the matters listed below beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Public Meeting

94 Carruthers Ave. – John Henderson - D14-012-2017

Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to sever a lot for a new single-family dwelling. The retained lot includes the existing single-family dwelling at 94 Carruthers Ave.  The subject site is zoned ‘A' in Zoning Bylaw 8499. The proposed building requires relief from several provisions of the Zoning Bylaw 8499.  The existing rear addition and rear-detached garage will be demolished to facilitate the creation of the new lot and the proposed building.

Removal of conversion provisions – City of Kingston – D14-017-2017

City-initiated application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to remove Sections 5.23 "Conversion of a One-Family Dwelling to a Multiple-Family Dwelling" and 5.23(A) "Conversion of a One-Family Dwelling to a Two-Family Dwelling" of Zoning Bylaw Number 8499. Other related sections (including 5.3A.(a) ii(1); 5.3.A(c); 6.2(b); and 6.3(a)(i)) of Zoning Bylaw Number 8499 are also proposed to be removed or amended.

Amenity Area Provisions – City of Kingston – D14-018-2017

City-initiated application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to implement the recommendations of the Amenity Area Review Study Final Report completed in January 2015 by Dillon Consulting Limited with respect to amenity areas in multi-unit dwellings, and to propose new landscaped open space requirements in the residential zones.

271 Glen Castle Rd. – Connor Laframboise – D14-007-2017

Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to allow the construction of a second dwelling unit within the existing detached dwelling house. The subject property is not located within the secondary suite pilot project area. Therefore, the applicant is seeking permission to apply the standard zoning provisions for a second dwelling unit to the property.
