The City of Kingston planning committee will meet to discuss the matters listed below beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Tree Bylaw Revision – City of Kingston – E04-010-2016
The purpose of the public meeting is to present revisions to the City of Kingston's Tree Bylaw and Site Alteration Bylaw.
Items for discussion/recommendation
230 Collingwood St. – IBI Group – D14-042-2016
Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to construct an approximately 5 square metre single-storey front porch addition and an approximately 93 square metre two-and-a-half-storey rear addition. The proposal includes the addition of two dwelling units within the proposed rear addition, each unit to contain three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and kitchen. The existing one-and-a-half-storey dwelling will be internally renovated to include two bedrooms, a bathroom, living room and kitchen. In total, the applicant is proposing three dwelling units with a total of eight bedrooms on the subject property.
671 Brock St. – Kingston Frontenac Housing Corp. – D14-038-2016 (Item Postponed)
The applicant has amended the overall development plan, which includes substantial changes to the original proposal. Based on the modifications, a second public meeting is scheduled to seek additional public input. The proposed multi-unit residential structure is to be three storeys comprising 29 dwelling units and a fourth storey reserved for an enclosed rooftop terrace, mechanical equipment, stairs and elevator shafts. Key changes include a reduction in the proposed height, density and lot occupancy, an altered built form, an increased front-yard setback, proposed site access from Brock Street along with an increased on-site parking and amenity space. The rear portion (3,372 square metre) of the site is proposed to be rezoned to a public park, while the southwest corner (1,269 square metre) will remain zoned One and Two Family Dwelling ‘A' Zone.
Accessible Parking – City of Kingston – D14-032-2016
An application for a Zoning Bylaw amendment initiated by the City of Kingston seeks to implement accessible parking standards required under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). The amendments will affect all City zoning bylaws and will also clarify parking-area requirements in the A zone of Zoning Bylaw Number 8499.
