Public Notice - Planning Committee - November 17, 2016

The City of Kingston planning committee will meet to discuss the matters listed below beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Public Meeting

671 Brock St. –Kingston Frontenac Housing Corp. - D14-0038-2016

Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to divide the existing site into three parcels: a 3,372 square metre park parcel (55 per cent); a 1,467 square metre housing parcel (24 per cent); and a 1,269 square metre future housing parcel (21 per cent).  The future parcel is not proposed to be rezoned at this time. Future applications may be required when more details are known about what the use of the parcel will be. The applicant proposes to construct a new multi-unit residential building on a 1,467 square metre portion of the subject property. The proposed apartment building is four (4) storeys in height, contains 32 dwelling units and has a gross floor area of 2,008 square metres. An amendment to the Zoning Bylaw is requested to accommodate the increased density, parking, maximum height, amenity area and location of the proposed structure.

Official Plan Update – City-wide Amendment – D09-037-2015

The City initiated the five-year update to the 2010 Official Plan in early 2015. A statutory public meeting is being held to receive feedback on the fifth draft of the document.
