The City of Kingston planning committee will meet to discuss the matterslisted below beginning at 6:30 p.m.

39 Churchill St. – Jeff McCord - D14-034-2016

Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to allow secondary suites in the basements of both halves of a semi-detached dwelling which is currently under construction and to address any deficiencies in the zoning standards resulting from the secondary units or the proposed severance. The applicant is proposing to sever the semi-detached dwelling along the common party wall to provide separate and independent title to each half of the semi-detached dwelling.

27 Pine St. – Cameron McDougall - D14-036-2016

Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to permit two dwelling units on the subject property. The overall development plan includes reconstructing the approximately 52 square metre single storey rear portion of the existing dwelling and increasing the total gross floor area by approximately 7.1 square metres. The slight increase in total floor area relates to converting the existing unenclosed rear porch to habitable space. The proposal includes one parking space per dwelling unit.

Highway 15 Information Report

The City is undertaking a Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) for the Highway 15 Corridor. It is considering the current and future transportation needs of pedestrians, cyclists, transit and vehicles in the context of recent and expected growth in this area. Due to public concern about the visual appearance along the corridor, the scope of work was expanded to enable members of the community to identify solutions that address the visual character of the corridor. Following a visioning workshop and public open house, draft design guidelines have been created and are under review internally. A third public open house is planned for the coming months, and the design guidelines and a landscape plan will be available for public review at that time.
