The City of Kingston planning committee will meet to discuss the matters listed below beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Zoning bylaws amendment to implement the Revised Provincial Accessible Standards – D14-032-2016
The City of Kingston is undertaking an amendment of all City zoning bylaws to update accessible parking requirements regarding parking space size and provision rates. This is intended to implement Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards. The amendment will also clarify parking area requirements in the A zone of Zoning Bylaw 8499.
1645 Sydenham Rd. and 1456 Aley St. – Anchor Concrete – D35-006-2016
Applications for Official Plan amendment and zoning bylaw amendment to expand the Anchor Concrete site located at 1645 Sydenham Rd. and to sever a portion of the existing site containing the Anchor Rebar operations. The proposed amendments are required to re-designate and rezone the lands proposed to be added to the site from 1456 Aley St. through a separate Planning Act consent process. The proposed severance of the Anchor Rebar facility is also subject to a consent application. The applicant is requesting that the subject applications for official plan amendment and Zoning Bylaw amendment also recognize an existing non-conforming retail use on the site.

70 Barbara Ave. – MC Townhomes Inc. – D14-005-2016
Application for Zoning Bylaw amendment to change the zone from the existing site-specific Multiple Family Dwelling (Unified Ownership) ‘B2.295' Zone to two site-specific Multiple Family Dwelling ‘B2.509 and ‘B2510-H' Zones, for the purpose of constructing seven, two and a half storey stacked townhome blocks to accommodate 116 residential dwelling units.
1572 Sunnyside Rd. – Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority – D35-001-2016
Applications for Zoning Bylaw amendment and official plan amendment to facilitate a proposed severance of approximately 2.82 hectares of land with approximately 218 metres of frontage on Sunnyside Road, containing an existing dwelling and the stone foundation of a barn. The dwelling is rented by the CRCA, however it is surplus to their needs and they are seeking to sell
the lands that are proposed to be severed. The subject lands are municipally known as 1572 Sunnyside Rd. and are part of the overall Conservation Area land holdings of approximately 391 hectares known municipally as 1641 Perth Rd.
