St. Lawrence College has applied for an exemption to the City of Kingston's Noise Control Bylaw 2004-52, Schedule "B" Activity 4, to permit noise from the operation of any device or group of connected devices intended for the production, reproduction, or amplification of voices or sounds as part of the College's 50th Anniversary Alumni Day activities being held at the Kingston campus, located at 100 Portsmouth Ave., on Saturday, June 24, 2017 between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m., including an outdoor yoga class between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., a family picnic and barbeque between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., and an outdoor pub night between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.
About the Noise Control Bylaw
The Noise Control Bylaw prohibits noise from the production, reproduction, or amplification of voices or sounds at all times in residential areas.
Anyone wishing to object to this exemption should deliver their concerns in writing or by email by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017 to:
