Rideaucrest's fall volunteer recruitment fair is on Sept. 24

Would you enjoy volunteering to garden, read to residents, assist with programs and special events, or work in a coffee shop and gift boutique?
Rideaucrest Home, the City's long-term care facility, has a variety of volunteer opportunities for people of all ages. Take the first step and come out to their fall volunteer fair from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 24 in the Home's family room at 175 Rideau St.
"Rideaucrest's Auxiliary Volunteer program needs you! Our volunteers are so dedicated – and it's because they are able to create and enjoy meaningful experiences and enrich the lives of our residents," says Ashley Miller, supervisor resident programs and services. Staff will be on hand to speak to the benefits of volunteering and what each opportunity involves.
Students: volunteering at Rideaucrest can be used to achieve the mandatory 40 hours of volunteer service required to attain a secondary school diploma (volunteers must be 13 years of age or older).
