See designs for new park at Weller and Compton
September 10, 2015 –
Come see the design drawings for a new parkette the City is building at Weller Avenue and Compton Street. The park will go right beside the new Kingston Community Health Centre.
Live in the neighbourhood? Drop by the open house from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18 at the Kingston Community Health Centre (KCHC) at 263 Weller Ave. (Homestead Room).
"This park is going right beside the new Kingston Community Health Centre. If you live in the neighbourhood, or visit the KCHC, and know you will be using the park, please come out, see the design and learn what's planned," says Neal Unsworth, parks manager.
The open house will present the conceptual design drawings for the parkette and offer an opportunity to informally discuss the plans. The new parkette is scheduled to be completed in 2016.
