Service Manager making progress on addressing Town Homes Kingston's needs
August 16, 2018 -
Since taking over operations of Town Homes Kingston on July 23, the Service Manager has addressed critical fire and safety issues and is now working with staff to address needed maintenance.
"We prioritized addressing health and safety issues and that's what we've been working on. We have also met with some tenants to hear their concerns and, with the help of Town Homes Kingston staff, we are now tackling a number of maintenance issues," says Lanie Hurdle, service manager.
Since taking over operations, the Service Manager has worked with Kingston Fire & Rescue to approve fire safety plans for all Town Homes Kingston properties as well as to repair fire pumps at both 205 Rideau St. and 37 Cassidy St. properties. Now the Service Manager is working to address the 160 outstanding work orders affecting 400 Town Homes Kingston units.
"Our goal is to provide sustainable, healthy and safe social housing in Kingston and to ensure that maintenance issues are addressed quickly as possible going forward," says Hurdle.
