Severe Weather - April 15, 2018

Environment Canada has released a special weather statement for a potentially significant event for portions of Southern and Eastern Ontario over Saturday and Sunday. During this significant event, check the radio, television and Environment Canada for more information. Environment Canada provides forecasts and warning information 24 hours a day.
Residents are encouraged to limit travel to avoid dangerous road conditions. The City reminds drivers and travelers to be safe and check conditions before setting out for your destination

Recreation & Leisure closures and cancellations
UPDATE 3 p.m. -
The pools at Artillery Park Aquatic Centre will close at 3 p.m. for the remainder of the day. All registered programs have been cancelled. The facility remains open.
The INVISTA Centre remains open. The City reminds drivers and travelers to be safe and check conditions before setting out for your destination. Clients with ice rentals should contact their club/organization to confirm status and for cancellations.
11 a.m. Recreation and leisure programs and drop-in classes are operating as scheduled. Credit will be provided on the accounts for registered swim lesson participants who are not able to make it to programs today. Bronze Star and Bronze Cross programming has been cancelled and all participants have been contacted. The cancellation is due to the due to 100 percent participation requirement of these specific aquatic programs.
