null Streets Alive celebrates active living at Garrison Family Fun Fest

August 31, 2017 -

Plan to attend Streets Alive, the City's celebration of active living on  Saturday, Sept. 9 at 11 Navy Way at CFB Kingston.  For the first time in the event's history, Streets Alive will be part of Kingston's Personnel Support Programs' Garrison Family Fun Fest taking place that weekend (Sept. 9-10).

"We're thrilled to bring our celebration of active living to Garrison Family Fun Fest," says Nancy Ruel, supervisor, special events & marketing for the City of Kingston.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., watch or try these active ways to have fun and get around:

  • BMX biking
  • Driving a Segway
  • Trampolining
  • Taoist Tai Chi
  • Bike rodeo and more

As part of the festivities, enjoy fireworks on at 8:30 p.m.. In addition to viewing them from the event side, you can also take in the fireworks from at Doug Fluhrer Park and the nearby waterfront paths. Follow the City's Twitter account for weather-related updates:
