null Suggest potential street-bench/rest area locations for new sidewalks

February 5, 2019 –

The City is installing a number of new sidewalks this year and is now seeking input on where it could potentially place rest areas (benches).

Go to GetInvolved.CityofKingston.ca to tell us where benches could be placed as potential rest locations along these new sidewalks:

  • Bath Road from Coverdale east to the existing sidewalk.
  • Birchwood Drive from Peachwood to Cataraqui Woods Drive.
  • Taylor Kidd Boulevard from Waterloo to Princess.

These new sidewalks were identified as priorities in the Active Transportation Master Plan (ATMP) as they will fill in gaps in the City's sidewalk network. The ATMP, a.k.a. Walk'n'Roll Kingston, is a comprehensive plan to increase active – human-powered – travel options and improve accessibility.

The input deadline is 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18.

For more on the ATMP see: www.CityofKingston.ca/WalkRoll.
