La Salle Causeway Lane Restrictions – Jan. 16

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16 –  Public Services and Procurement Canada will have lane reductions/restrictions on the La Salle Causeway. Motorists and cyclists, will encounter a single-lane closure with alternating traffic on the other lane directed by flag people. Pedestrians will be able to will be instructed by the contractor when it is safe to cross through the work area and may face short delays.

Ministry Of Transportation

Lane and ramp closures along the 401 – associated with the widening of the 401 at the Cataraqui Bridge – will stop over the winter months. Crews continue off-road work on this project. For updates on Highway 401 construction visit the Ministry of Transportation's website at www.roadinfo.mto.gov.on.ca or call 5-1-1.

Road Closure

  • THIS ROAD IS NOW OPEN. 4th Concession Road is closed between Hitchcock and Joyceville roads due to flooding. It will reopen when the water has receded and the roadway is safe for travel.

Construction Road Closures

  • Division Street at Princess – the northbound left turn lane is closed until approximately 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12 to allow Utilities Kingston crews to repair the traffic light systems.
  • Princess Street will be closed between Clergy and Barrie streets until mid-May as the street is reconstructed from building-front-to-building-front. Intersections remain open. Construction will then move up Princess Street toward Division. Princess Street will reopen to through traffic on July 1. Businesses remain open!

Event Road Closure

King Street will be closed on Saturday, Jan. 13 from The Tragically Hip Way to Place D'armes from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. to accommodate the Sportsnet Game parking needs.

Construction Road Delays

  • Front Road (east and westbound) between Days Road and Sand Bay Lane (Front Road Bridge) – expect lane reductions until the end of February to allow Utilities Kingston site-servicing work.
  • Frontenac Street – delays are possible between Jenkins and Princess daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12,  Saturday, Jan. 13 and again from Monday, Jan. 15 through Friday, Jan. 19* to accommodate demolition of 495-513 Frontenac St.

Sidewalk Disruption

  • Princess Street from Clergy to Barrie. Pedestrians may be required to detour through construction zones.
  • Frontenac Street – delays are possible between Jenkins and Princess daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12,  Saturday, Jan. 13 and again from Monday, Jan. 15 through Friday, Jan. 19* to accommodate demolition of 495-513 Frontenac St.
