Traffic report

Please see below for a list of road construction projects and events expected to have an impact on traffic flow next week.

Princess Sreet Reconstruction

Princess Street is reduced to one lane between Sydenham and Clergy and on-street parking is reduced to one side of the street. Motorists should expect delays while crews complete electrical work.  

Princess Street remains closed:

  • from Bagot to Montreal until April.
  • from Sydenham to Montreal until the end of May.

Motorists should expect delays at  the intersection of Bagot and Princess Streets while crews complete work associated with Princess Street reconstruction project.

Businesses on downtown Princess Street remain open and accessible during this project.

Kingston Transit riders: please note that a temporary stop for routes 2, 4 and 18 has been set up on the south side of Queen Street at Montreal Street to accommodate bus detours associated with the Princess Street closure. Other road closures

Collingwood Street will be closed from Union to Queen's Crescent and Queen's Crescent will be closed from Albert to Collingwood on Thursday, Feb.18 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to allow for a fan to be lifted onto Leonard Hall.

Wellington Street will be closed between Princess and Brock on Wednesday, Feb. 16 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. to allow for a crane to lift steel into a building project.

Rogers K-Rrock Centre event road Closures

King Street is closed from The Tragically Hip Way to Place D'Armes on Sunday, Feb. 21 from 8:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. for the Sportsnet National Broadcast.

Road reconstruction projects

Work to reconstruct the following roadways is underway:

  • Princess Street between Bagot and Clergy
  • Montreal Street between Queen and Brock
  • Sydenham Street between Queen and Princess
  • Clergy Street between Queen and Princess
