UPDATED: Friday Traffic Report

August 2, 2013 -

Brock Street will experience significant delays between Montreal and Sydenham until Saturday morning. The roadway is down to one lane to allow the new speed humps sufficient time to cool. Choose an alternate route if possible.

JOHN COUNTER BOULEVARD

Expect delays on John Counter Boulevard between Division Street and Aberfoyle Road, including the intersection of Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard until mid-August.

PRINCESS STREET RECONSTRUCTION:

- Expect delays on Princess Street between Bagot and King until late August while crews complete finishings. 

- Bagot Street will be closed between Queen and Princess until mid-August. The intersection of Princess and Bagot will remain open.

- Bagot Street will also be closed between Princess and Brock until late August. The intersection of Brock and Bagot will remain open.

OTHER ROAD CLOSURES

- Chelsea Road will be closed from Haverhill (north) to Haverhill (south) mid-August.

- Kirkpatrick Street will be closed between Lyons and Kingscourt until mid-September.

- Kirkpatrick Street will be closed between Kingscourt and Brant beginning Monday, August 12 until late September.

OTHER TRAFFIC DELAYS

- Princess Street will experience delays between Sir John A. Macdonald Blvd and Mooallim Place beginning Tuesday, August 6 until late August while crews install sidewalks.

- Sir John A. Macdonald (south bound) will experience delays from MacPherson South beyond Norman Rogers Drive until mid-August while crews reconstruct the sidewalk and bus bay.

- Brock Street will experience delays between Montreal and Sydenham until early August while crews install speed humps.

- Princess Street will experience delays at the Collins Bay/ Cataraqui Woods intersection until early August while crews construct an intersection and traffic signals.

-  Bayridge Drive will experience delays between Cedarwood and Peachwood until early August while crews install infrastructure for the Cataraqui Woods Drive extension.

EVENT CLOSURES

Ontario Street will be closed between Brock and Clarence on Friday, August 9 from noon to 11 p.m. and on Saturday, August 10 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. for the boat display, part of the Poker Run Weekend.

Market Street will be closed from Ontario to Kingston and King will be closed from Clarence to Brock from 6 a.m. on Friday, August 2 until 1 a.m. on Saturday, August 3 for tonight's Rock in the Square concert with 54 40.

Prince Street will be closed from Division to Ontario between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 3 for the Princess Street Promenade.

The following streets will be closed for the K-Town Triathlon on Sunday, August 4

- Ontario Street  4 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Queen St and Market St

- Brock Street 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. between King St and Ontario St

- Princess Street 4 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. between King St. and Holiday Inn

- Ontario Street  7 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. between Barrack St and Queen St

- Queen Street 7 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. between King and Ontario Street

- Place d'Armes 7 a.m. to 12: 45 p.m. southbound ramp from King Street to Ontario Street

- Ontario Street 7 a.m. to 12: 45 p.m. southbound lane between the northerly leg of Place d'Armes and Barrack Street

- Ontario Street 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.  between Market and West Street

- Market Street 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.  between King and Ontario Street

- Clarence Street 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. between King and Ontario Street

- Johnson Street 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. between King and Ontario Street

- William Street 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.  between King and Ontario Street

- Earl Street 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. between King and Ontario Street

- Gore Street 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. between King and Ontario Street

- Lower Union Street 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. between King and Ontario Street

- West Street 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. between King and Ontario Street

Also to accommodate the K-Town Triathlon, Princess Street will be two way traffic between King and Ontario from 7:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, August 4.
