Vote for your favourite Livable City building

September 22, 2014 -

Vote now for one of 22 nominated building projects vying for the People's Choice Livable City Design Award.

"This is about rewarding those who are building a better Kingston. The Livable City Design Awards celebrate the building and development projects that add to Kingston's beauty and incorporate sustainable design elements," says Cherie Mills, Manager of Policy Planning.

View the nominated projects and vote for your choice to receive the People's Choice Award at www.CityofKingston.ca/livablecity by Friday, Oct. 10.

This year's Livable City Awards will recognize Kingston projects completed in the last three years. In addition to the People's Choice Award, the City will also be presenting Awards of Excellence and Awards of Merit to selected projects.

The projects are being evaluated on the following: significance to the city; significance to their community; innovation; context; execution; green design; and accessibility. Conservation practices are also being considered for heritage restoration projects.

Come celebrate excellent design!

The Livable City Design Awards will be handed out at a ceremony at the Central Branch of the Kingston Public Library on November 12, 2014. The public is invited to attend.
