null Winners announced at 10th annual Kingston Blooms celebration

August 29, 2013 -

Last night, the city's worthiest green-thumbs were honoured for their success at keeping Kingston beautiful.

"I want to thank the phenomenal gardeners who participated in Kingston Blooms for their hard work and success in beautifying our city," says Mayor Mark Gerretsen. "These winners we celebrate have rightfully earned these awards – but, I hope they don't mind that all of Kingston shares in the bragging rights."

The 10th annual Kingston Blooms awards were handed out during a ceremony at the University Club at Queen's University. Gardens were judged on the WOW factor, design, maintenance and environmental awareness.  This year's event co-sponsors were Canadian Tire and Sun Harvest Greenhouses.
