Your City needs you: apply to serve on a committee

Interested in serving in a City of Kingston committee?
Now is your chance to serve Kingston with your expertise: review the current committee openings and apply online by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12 at www.CityofKingston.ca/city-hall/committees-boards/current-openings. Or complete an application package available in the city clerk's office at City Hall, 216 Ontario St.
"A significant amount of the City's policy work occurs at the committee level. Serving on a committee is a great way to add your voice to the conversation and will help shape our community," says John Bolognone, city clerk.
The City's committees provide council and staff with input on a wide variety of subjects through discussions, presentations and recommendations. The City welcomes citizens who represent the diverse backgrounds of our community to serve on committees.
The City is seeking members for these committees:
- Appeals committee
- Committee of adjustment
- Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority (CRCA) Lemoine Point advisory committee
- Municipal accessibility advisory committee
Visit www.CityofKingston.ca/committees or the clerk's office for details on eligibility requirements and the skill preferences, mandates, terms and meeting schedules associated with these committees.
The nominations advisory committee will make recommendations for committee appointments to council and reserves the right to check references and verify information contained in submissions.
