null City shares ideas and options for Parks and Recreation Master Plan update

Plan to attend the Parks and Recreation Master Plan update open house to see the ideas and options proposed to support opportunities for vibrant recreation spaces and for active fun over the next 15 years.
On Monday, June 3 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the INVISTA Centre, 1350 Gardiners Rd,. join us to see the options, talk with recreation and leisure staff and offer your feedback. Project consultants, Sierra Planning and Management will make a presentation starting at 5:30 p.m. Children are welcome to attend and activity bags with colouring books, crayons and activities will be available.
"The feedback received over the past 12 months from residents, user groups and community partners has informed the plan update. We're looking forward to sharing the proposed ideas and options, and then implementing the plan to help Kingstonians lead healthy lives," says Luke Follwell, director of recreation and leisure services.
The Parks and Recreation Master Plan provides an implementation strategy for the development of parks and recreation services until 2025, including:
- Arenas, pools, gyms and community centres
- Sports fields, courts and marinas
- Parkland and trails
- Programming and events
