Demolition of Madoma Park community centre to start next week
July 25, 2016 -
Out with the old, in with the new: The City of Kingston begins demolition of the former community centre at Madoma Park next week in order to make way for improvements to the property. Madoma Park is located on Highway 2 near School Road in the city's east end.
Proposed improvements include a new pathway, a picnic area and refurbished combination tennis and basketball courts. The design concepts were presented at a public meeting last month and can be viewed at CityofKingston.ca/city-hall/projects-construction/park-upgrades
It is estimated that demolition of the community centre will continue until mid-August and the park will remain open during this time. Park construction updates will be posted on the City's website and on social media.
