null Introducing DASH the City's online land management tool

January 18, 2016 -

DASH is the City of Kingston's new online development-and-services hub. It can be used to:

  • See active land development applications
  • Make and manage these planning applications
  • Conveniently pay application fees

DASH is now live at

"DASH shows customers who make submissions exactly where the application is in the process. It also shows residents what land developments are being proposed in their neighbourhood and around the city," says Paige Agnew, director, building, planning & licensing.

She says DASH is aimed at improving customer service by streamlining the application review process and making it more transparent.  The application process can now be digitally monitored to better ensure service standards and identify areas for future service improvement.

City staff will use DASH to digitally review development applications and show the application status online.  DASH also introduces a convenient and effective online process for submitting planning applications that replaces the old paper-based application.

The City is supporting the introduction of DASH by offering tutorial videos, tutorial events for key users and a user guide.

The City is working toward adding the building permit process to DASH in 2016.
