null Kingston Domino’s Pizza partners with Kingston Fire & Rescue to promote Fire Safety during Fire Prevention Week

October 4, 2013 -

Residents could receive a chance to win a dinner for four with proof of properly functioning smoke alarms

Kingston's Domino's Pizza and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) are teaming up with the Kingston Fire & Rescue to "Prevent Kitchen Fires" during Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 6-12). During Fire Prevention Week, any resident who orders a pizza from Domino's, and has a working smoke alarm in the home, could get their next meal free.

"Fire safety is vitally important," said Jeff Weston owner of Domino's Pizza in Kingston. "We are thrilled to work with the NFPA and Kingston Fire & Rescue on a program to promote the safety of our friends and neighbours and to reward those who make fire safety a priority."

"Fire Prevention Week is an ideal time of year to change the batteries in your smoke alarms," said Rheaume Chaput, Fire Chief, Kingston Fire & Rescue. "Functioning smoke alarms save lives, but many people forget to maintain the batteries. We are excited to be working with Domino's Pizza to promote good fire safety precautions by rewarding residents who have properly installed and functioning smoke alarms with a chance for a free, delicious dinner for four."

Customers can call any three of the Domino's Pizza store locations in Kingston, located at 1201 Division St., (613) 507-3730, or 493 Princess St.(613) 548-3730, or 795 Blackburn Mews at (613) 384-8552 to place their order and be eligible for the chance to win a free dinner for four.

Even if you are not one of the lucky recipients of a free dinner for four, Kingston Fire & Rescue would like to remind Kingston residents that working smoke alarms are required by law on every story of your home and save lives.  If you require assistance, or have any questions please contact Kingston Fire & Rescue at (613) 548-4001 ext. #5123.
