null Mayor launches newsletter as new engagement tool
September 17, 2015 –
Kingston's Mayor is launching an e-mail newsletter to engage residents in a new way. The monthly newsletter will be delivered by e-mail providing subscribers with an overview of city business and topics of interest coming before city council.
"In the spirit of community engagement and building partnerships, I've created this newsletter as a way to reach out, to connect and provide a snapshot of city business and how I see things from the Mayor's chair," says Mayor Bryan Paterson. "Aligning with one of council's priorities for this term, fostering open government, this newsletter aims to encourage wider community engagement in city business coming before council."
Those interested in receiving the monthly e-mail newsletter can subscribe by clicking on the ‘sign up for my newsletter' button located on the Mayor's website at www.MayorPaterson.com or the Mayor's page on the City of Kingston's website at www.CityofKingston.ca/city-hall/mayor-and-council/mayor
"My hope for this newsletter is that it will act as a spark for residents to start a dialogue about city matters, engage family and friends about issues that matter and connect with me or with their councillor to have their opinions heard, says Mayor Paterson.
