null Mayor's Remembrance Day Message
November 6, 2014
As we approach Remembrance Day we honour those who lost their lives in service and our veterans who so bravely served. This is also a time to pay tribute to the important and on-going role of those who serve our country through military service today.
The recent and tragic events in Ottawa and Montreal will undoubtedly be on the minds of Kingstonians and Canadians this Remembrance Day. As we reflect on these events, and those throughout the history of our nation, let us honour those who have given their lives for the protection of our freedoms, our democracy and the quality of life we enjoy today.
In this time of remembrance we say thank you to our veterans, to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and to our active service men and women.
Mayor Mark Gerretsen
