null New exhibit features the story of the people of Rideau Heights
May 31, 2018 -
Come to the opening of a new exhibit – Rideau Heights and the North End: A story of the people – 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, June 14 at the Rideau Heights Community Centre and Library, 85 MacCauley St.
"This exhibit looks at the history of this area and those who have lived here. Our research included interviews with current residents who spoke about the multiple generations of people who have called this neighbourhood home, a place known for its loyalty, pride, generosity, community commitment and resilience," says Paul Robertson, City curator.
The exhibit highlights the vibrant history and personalities of Rideau Heights and the north end up to the present day using archival images and documents and artifacts borrowed from community members and groups.
