Public Notice - Special Council Meeting in a Town Hall Format

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston will be hosting a Special Council meeting in a modified Town Hall format on Wednesday Jan. 17. The meeting is intended to provide council and members of the public the opportunity to learn from Brent Toderian, former chief planner for the City of Vancouver and award-winning city planning consultant, on challenges and opportunities of building higher density communities. Toderian, a nationally recognized thought leader, will provide a briefing to lead off the discussion on growth and intensification.
Those wishing to address Council are asked to register at the welcome table prior to the start of the meeting. Speakers will be chosen in random order for the public portion of the meeting. Each speaker will be allowed a maximum of three minutes to address Council.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held at Memorial Hall, City Hall, 216 Ontario St., Kingston.
