Please see below for a list of road construction projects and events that are expected to have an impact on traffic flow next week.

PRINCESS STREET RECONSTRUCTION:

  • Expect delays on Princess Street between Bagot and King until late August while crews complete finishings. 
  • Bagot Street will be closed between Queen and Princess until mid-August. The intersection of Princess and Bagot will remain open.
  • Bagot Street will also be closed between Princess and Brock until late July. The intersection of Brock and Bagot will remain open.

JOHN COUNTER BOULEVARD TRAFFIC DELAY

Motorists can expect delays on John Counter Boulevard between Division Street and Aberfoyle Road, including the intersection of Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard until mid-August.

OTHER ROAD CLOSURES

  • Halifax Drive will be closed between Crossfield to Atkinson beginning Monday, July 8 until Friday, July 12 while Taggart Construction completes a storm sewer connection.
  • Chelsea Road will be closed from Haverhill (north) to Haverhill (south) beginning Tuesday, July 9 until early August.
  • University Avenue will be closed between Johnson and Brock until mid-July.
  • Kirkpatrick Street will be closed between Division and Lyons until early August.
  • Division Street will be closed between York and Hamilton until mid-August.

OTHER TRAFFIC DELAYS

  • Sydenham Road will experience delays between Crossfield and Eunice until mid-July.
  • Princess Street will experience delays at the Collins Bay/ Cataraqui Woods intersection until mid-July while crews construct an intersection and traffic signals.
  • Raglan Road will experience delays between Montreal Street and Rideau Street until mid-July while crews re complete the reconstruction of the road.
  • Markland Street will experience delays between Montreal Street and Patrick Street until mid-July while crews re complete the reconstruction of the road.
  • Montreal Street will experience delays between Markland Street and Raglan Road until mid-July while crews re complete the reconstruction of the road.
  • Bayridge Drive will experience delays between Cedarwood and Peachwood until mid-July while crews install infrastructure for the Cataraqui Woods Drive extension.

EVENT CLOSURES

Ontario Still will be closed between Brock and Clarence on Saturday, July 6 from 7 a.m. to 5 pm. for the annual Taste of Kingston festival.

The following streets will be closed for the Buskers Rendezvous:

Thursday, July 11 and Friday, July 12

  • Ontario from Brock to Market 12:45 to 3:30 p.m.
  • Ontario Street from Brock to Johnson 5:30 to 11 p.m.

Saturday, July 13

  • Ontario from Brock to Market 12:45 to 3:30 p.m.
  • Ontario Street from Brock to Johnson 5:30 to 11 p.m.
  • Princess Street from Division to Barrie 9 to 11:30 p.m.

Sunday, July 14

  • Ontario Street from Brock to Johnson 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
