Airport highest and best land use study

The Kingston Airport sits on 275 hectares of land. The City is conducting a land-use study for 108 hectares of land surrounding the terminal and the runway. The site is divided into six sections (or parcels) The goals of the study are to identify land use that:

  • Helps to achieve council strategic priorities
  • Leverages Kingston's assets and is aligned with regional strengths and opportunities 
  • Is consistent with the airport's characteristics and the needs of our community
  • Provides economic opportunities
