Project Updates

This phase one project is being implemented by Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Canadian Coast Guard.

Schedule Update

  • May 2018 - Procurement
  • June 2018 - Contract award
  • July 2018 - Contractor mobilization and construction begins
    • Ann Milna Park, located at the point of Portsmouth Olympic Harbour, will not be accessible during the construction of the new station. Public access is expected to be restored in Spring 2019. 
    • Construction traffic will be coordinated directly with St Lawrence Parks Commission and Correctional Services Canada to ensure safe access through the Kingston Penitentiary site via the controlled intersection at Sir John A. Macdonald Blvd. & King St.
  • Spring 2019 - Construction to be completed

Fisheries and Oceans Canada & Canadian Coast Guard hosted an open house on April 26 to share plans to replace the existing Kingston Canadian Coast Guard Small Vessel Station with a new facility. View the open house details.
