Name: Gerry Mitchell

Gerry Mitchell is the owner/ operator of Gerry Mitchell Productions. As a singer-songwriter of children's music, he has performed throughout eastern Ontario at schools, festivals, fairs, libraries, summer camps, after school programs and daycares. Gerry's main focus for the past several years has been his presentations based on the Character Education and Virtue trait Respect. He has been presenting programs for elementary schools in Ontario and for the English school boards in Quebec. Gerry has to date presented to over 40,000 students. His show entitled "Do Respect" for Grades K-3, is a positive step in which primary students are taught to make responsible, respectful choices. It is a multi-faceted, 45 minute program that mixes original music, dance, a little drama and a whole lot of fun.

"One Voice" is Gerry's show aimed for Grades 4, 5 and 6 fits well with the Quebec and Ontario School Boards' "Safe Schools" initiative. In the performance he speaks to the students about how to use their voices respectfully yet powerfully. It delivers to "stand up and speak out" to make a change in themselves, their environment, their community, and against bullying.

Both presentations cover self-respect, respect of others, good manners and proper etiquette, respect of animals and having respect for our shared environment. He has also written and developed two new primary-aged school shows called "Sugar Show" (about sugar) and "Sing Every Day" (sing-a-long performance).

Gerry prefers to work with Preschool and Elementary school students, as well as families and peoples with special needs.
