Name: Margaret Moncreiff


Margaret is a passionate artist with expertise in music, song and storytelling. She has a variety of experience as a community musician, educator, and occupational therapist which have provided her with experiences working with people of all ages and abilities.

In her workshops, Margaret can work directly with children, give workshops to families and teachers, or coordinate integrated presentations with various groups of people. Her workshop ideas include: school programs (which involve deepening student understanding of curricular concepts or themes by using the creative energies of storytelling, soundscape and song), inter generational program (working with students, teachers and seniors as they work together to create a performance using storytelling, soundscape and song), early childhood classroom sessions (involves leading story, movement and song circles with a focus on literacy and language development), family workshop ( involves family members learning songs, actions and other musical techniques), and projects actively involving children with multiple needs(leading students experiencing physical, developmental and/or communication challenges).

Margaret prefers to work with students in preschool, elementary, and middle school, as well as families and those with special needs.
