Name: Darrell Bryan


Darrell Bryan is a confident and experienced musician specializing in music education, conducting, and vocal coaching. Born and educated in the UK, Darrell has recently moved to Canada as a permanent resident and is excited to be a member of the Kingston community. He completed a BA in Music & Education with Honours at Keele University in the UK and has been accepted for a funded Masters in Choral Conducting at York University in 2015. In addition to completing his education, Darrell was awarded the prestigious prize of Keele University Student of the Year 2010 in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and excellence in music.

Since coming to Kingston, Darrell has been heavily involved in the local arts community in vocal performance, conducting and music directing. Some of these experiences include music directing Bottle Tree Productions' A Christmas Carol, conducting the EVE Vocal Ensemble, and performing as a tenor soloist in Open Voices.

Darrell has significant teaching experience in both traditional and non-traditional settings at student and adult levels in Europe, Australia and Canada. Darrell currently works as an arts educator with Queen's University, local community choirs, a musical theater company and offers private vocal lessons and workshops. Darrell is interested in providing workshops such as vocal summer programs and camps and pop/folk/musical theatre singing workshops. Darrell is passionate about providing these high quality workshops in an accessible and affordable fashion.

Darrell prefers working with elementary, middle, and high school level students, as well as adults, families and people with special needs.
