With local historian Peter Gower as your guide, take a photographic tour of Kingston 100 years ago at the Heritage Resource Centre’s free presentation, “Kingston During the Great War.”

The presentation features dozens of photos of historic buildings and sites associated with World War I. A highlight of the presentation is a panoramic photo of the 10,000 men in the Barriefield Camp in May 1916.

Gower is a retired elementary and high school teacher, and the author of Kingston in 150 Pictures, published with the support the Frontenac Heritage Foundation and the City of Kingston Heritage Fund.
