Why do stories matter? Join us for a live community storytelling event. Hear from our storytellers and learn more about why stories are an important way to build our community history. The event will have ASL interpreters and separate programming is available for children. Cash Bar. 

The event will feature community storytellers Paul Chaput, Rinad Elhaj, Selina Chiarelli, Alyssa Cooper and Cassel Miles. Storytelling will be followed with a Q&A talkback moderated by Guy Freedman and Melissa Hammell of First Peoples Group. 

Launch event children’s programming: The Art of Storytelling

Let’s explore the creative process of visual storytelling through comics!  What’s in a story?  What stories would we like to share?  Children and youth will learn to craft their own comics to take home inspired by their experiences.  All art supplies will be provided.
