Each month at residents council a special "Meal of the Month" is chosen by the residents.
Family and friends are encouraged to dine with residents. Each floor has a bright, central dining room with its own food service area. The weekly and daily menus are posted outside the dining room. Alternatively, families can enjoy a private meal in the country kitchen. Families can bring in their own food, or purchase meal tickets in advance from the business office.
Residents are served three meals and three snacks each day. Meal times are at 8:30 a.m., 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Each 3 week menu cycle provides for adequate nutrients, fibre and energy for the residents based on the current Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs). The menu provides a variety of foods, including fresh seasonal foods, each day from all food groups in keeping with Canada's Food Guide.
