Updated temporary noise exemption request: 795 Brock St.

The City of Kingston has received an update for a 1-day temporary noise exemption.

NOTE: This request replaces the previously submitted noise exemption for May 1–2, 2025, which included alternate rain dates of May 5–6.
  • Start Date & Time: Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 8 p.m.
  • End Date & Time: Friday, May 16, 2025 at 7 a.m.
  • Location: 795 Brock St.
  • Nature of Noise: Building Servicing - Saw cutting roadway for access to a main, which may include the following:
    • High-pitched whirring or grinding sounds from saw cutting though asphalt or concrete.
    • Intermittent bursts of loud mechanical noise, depending on the equipment being used and the thickness of the road surface.
    • Reverberation or echoing in surrounding areas.
    • Background engine noise from trucks or equipment.
    • Potential for metal-on-metal clanging when removing cut sections or handling construction materials.
