Lost and Found Pets
To report injured, found, or trespassing pets and animals, call 613-546-4291 ext. 3135.
Lost and found pets are animals that have gone missing from their owners and are later found by individuals or organizations trying to reunite them with their family. Our goal is to support the safe return of these pets to their homes.
If your pet is lost
- If your pet has a licence, update your DocuPet account immediately. DocuPet Home Safe service can help reunite you with your pet.
- Contact the Kingston Humane Society with a photo and a brief description to check if your pet was found and turned in.
- Consider using classified advertising services, checking local lost and found pets groups on social media or distributing flyers in your neighbourhood to increase the chances of finding your pet.
If you find a pet
If you find an animal loose in public that you think is a lost pet, for your safety please avoid approaching it. Instead, contact our bylaw enforcement team:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 613-546-0000
- After hours at 613-546-4291 ext. 3135
If you are already caring for an animal you think is a lost pet, take it to the Kingston Humane Society.
