Brownfields Community Improvement Project Areas Bylaw

Whereas Section 28(2) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, provides that the Council of a municipality that has an Official Plan that contains provisions relating to community improvement in the municipality, may, by bylaw, designate the whole or any portion of an area covered by such an Official Plan as a Community Improvement Project Area;

Now therefore the Council of The Corporation of the City of Kingston enacts as follows:

  1. That Brownfields Project Areas 1A & 1B, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, as set out in Schedule 1. 'A' attached hereto to this bylaw, are hereby designated as Community Improvement Project Areas of the City of Kingston.
  2. This bylaw shall come into force and take effect on its passing.

This Bylaw was given all three readings and passed February 15, 2005.
