Culligan Water Park is now closed for the season
On the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 6, staff found broken glass in the deep end of the pool at Culligan Water Park. There was no apparent incident or break observed on the pool deck.
We closed the pool immediately after the glass was discovered and began cleanup using mechanical methods. However, as of this morning (Monday, Sept. 8) small pieces of glass are still being recovered from the water and safe swimming is impossible at this time.
To fully clean the pool, we need to drain and dry it completely, then vacuum the basin and deck. As the 2025 season was set to end on Sept. 17, we've made the tough decision to close Culligan Water Park for the remainder of the season to facilitate this work.
Anyone who has registered for a program at Culligan Water Park this week will receive a credit on their account. Artillery Park Pool pass holders will receive a 1-week extension due to this closure. Please call 613-546-0000 if you have any questions about program cancellations and account credits.
This also, unfortunately, means that the 2025 Doggie Dip has been cancelled.
The splash pad located on site will remain open as scheduled until Sept. 15.
We understand this is disappointing news for our community and patrons, and we thank you for your understanding as we prioritize the safety of all visitors.
